Amazing support for knees

Tried the yesterday for the first time with my two Don-joy knee braces over them. Bought the largest size to ensure fit and it was a good guess - snug enough to get on without too much trouble and not wrinkle up under the braces yet not too snug to restrict movement on the bike and didn't overheat despite the blazing sunshine and heat. Knees felt supported and stable with the leggings on but if I was to use them for skiing, I think I'd go a size smaller to get better/tighter support on the knee area - only time will tell how the leggings fare for wear and tear as the race season progresses given that they are not really meant for motocross use, but a pleasing start (3 x 15 minute races) and looking forwards to seeing how they fare with the rough and tumble of dirt and sweat of mx.

So, after using the ski versions successfully on holiday as well as for weight training, I was duty bound to try the Dynamic + for more athletic based stuff - or in my case, vets hockey. (not hockey for vets, but for a more senior 'veteran' team).

These are cut lower than the ski ones, so slip 'em on, tie 'em up and off you go. Although I'm in pretty good shape, I'm built for comfort, not speed, so any help to get me running about a pitch chasing a ball is always welcome - and running about a pitch with quick changes in direction and pace can play havoc with your knees and hamstrings, so injuries amongst me and my peers are pretty frequent; my massage therapist has had more intimate moments with me than my wife over the last few months, putting me back together after mosts games - costing me a fortune!

But, in one of our hardest games of the season (a tough bunch of opponents with a number of young bucks in their team) we all needed to be on point and chasing here, there and bloody everywhere with this lot.

However, from the off, these bad boys kept everything tight and firm and caused me think less about my legs and stamina and actually on the game - I wouldn't say I was quite a man born again, but f*** me, these were good - I was getting around, chasing balls down and getting vital passes in as well as hitting the back of the net as well. So much so, a few curious looks from my team mates as if to say 'what's happened to him?'

Looking at my watch afterwards, I covered easily some 15k steps, and whilst I wasn't exactly as fresh as a daisy at the end by any stretch, I felt I could keep going and had one of my best games of the season. So far.

In summary, these are a given for me from now on in my games and a key piece of equipment alongside Lucille, my stick. I can't recommend them highly enough - they have literally been a game changer for me.

My order was delivered to the wrong address but Imbrace were quick to get another one to me before my ski trip.

I had a lot of trepidation but the brace leggings proved very effective at keeping my knee warm and preventing it getting worse, it even felt better after a week.

I also used some tape below my knee and when pulling the neoprene up I had to take care not to peel it off.

I highly recommend them.

I've yet to try the product on the slopes so cant give a 5 star rating, however, the service was really good regarding returns and replacements and a recommendation was made for the most appropriate style of garment.
