IMBRACE AMBASSADOR & 4 TIME WINTER OLYMPIAN

CHEMMY ALCOTT

Chemmy Alcott is a 4 Time Winter Olympian who represented Team GB throughout a 20 year sporting career reaching a high of 8th in the world. She became the first British ski racer to win a run in World Cup.

Since retiring from alpine skiing after Sochi in 2014, she has spent her time challenging herself, partaking in the World's Toughest Ski Race in Greenland in March 2015, the 100-mile road race Ride London, the Great Amazon Raft Race in September 2023 and other sporting endeavours. In 2021, she was promoted to lead presenter of BBC’s Ski Sunday TV Show, alongside Ed Leigh, and also fronted the BBC Olympic Coverage. In 2018 and 2022 she was the Winter Sports Expert alongside Clare Balding for BBC’s award-winning Winter Olympic Coverage. Their coverage over both Olympics had viewing figures of over 100 million viewers!

Alongside this, Chemmy created the initiative X-Elle, to develop young girls’ confidence in and through sport with United Learning, touring the UK and visiting schools with an eventual reach of impacting the lives of 10,000 young girls.

She is also a prominent public speaker and host, touring the world relaying her inspirational story of overcoming adversity (49 broken bones including her neck when she was 11, and her leg which required over 1028 minutes of surgery). She has spoken all around the UK and internationally — from Dubai and Rwanda, to Orlando and Rome — including speaking in the highly esteemed Oxford Union Chamber. Despite all her injuries, she constantly pushes herself through new sports. She conveys her story through the title: Win or Learn: Taking Risks, Pushing Boundaries and Developing a Growth Mindset, using her tools – the 3 Ps: Passion, Perseverance, and Positivity.

As a very proactive Ambassador and board member for Right To Play, each year she hosts charity events including The Big Red Ball — which in one evening alone raised a massive £650,000 for areas of conflict resolution. During her trip to Greenland, alongside the Arctic V, she helped raise £18,000 for Ski4Cancer and continues to be inspired by her charity work.
